We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Product R&D Lead to drive end-to-end research, formulation, and ensuring seamless launches for new dietary supplements. This role is fully remote but requires close collaboration with the CEO, marketing, and our manufacturing teams to ensure every product aligns with our brand values and high standards before it reaches production. 

What You?ll Do 

• Product Innovation ? Identify new product opportunities, analyze industry trends, and vet manufacturers/vendors for ingredients and formulations.  

• Lead R&D for new products ? Oversee the formulation and development of dietary supplements (capsules, powders, chewables, liquids, and flavored formats). 

• Testing & compliance ? Ensure formulations meet regulatory guidelines (FDA, cGMP, DSHEA) and conduct necessary testing for safety, stability, and efficacy. 

• Label & Regulatory Compliance ? Review product labels and work with our claim substantiation department to ensure compliance.  

• Cross-functional collaboration ? Work with the CEO, marketing, customer support, and manufacturing partners to bring products from concept to launch while considering quality, feasibility, cost, brand alignment and consumer demand. 

• Ingredient & Testing Coordination ? Collect and review Certificates of Analysis (COAs), heavy metals testing, and other quality control documentation. 

• Market research & surveys ? Use surveys, customer insights, and industry trends to gather feedback for products and guide product development decisions. 

• Documentation & specifications ? Maintain detailed product specifications, formulation records, and testing reports. 

• Process improvement ? Develop and refine best practices for product testing, ingredient sourcing, and formulation stability to optimize quality and efficiency. 

What We?re Looking For 

• 5+ years' experience in dietary supplement R&D, product development, or formulation (e-commerce experience preferred). 

• Strong understanding of nutrition science, herbal formulations, and ingredient interactions for optimal effectiveness. 

• Experience working with contract manufacturers, ingredient suppliers, and regulatory teams. 

• Knowledge of FDA regulations, cGMP compliance, and dietary supplement testing requirements. 

• Data-driven mindset ? ability to analyze market trends, clinical research, and customer feedback to inform product strategy. 

• Excellent communication skills ? ability to work cross-functionally with marketing, leadership, and external partners in a remote environment. 

• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and troubleshoot formulation challenges. 

• Strong multi-tasking ability required. 

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and formulation software is a plus. 

Work from Home Requirements 

• Up-to-date PC with Windows or Mac computer with MacOS operating system, anti-virus protection, and reliable high-speed internet connection.  

• Stable Wi-Fi connection, suitable computer, and a quiet workspace conducive to remote work. 

• Employees are expected to ensure their work environment is conducive to productivity, free from major distractions and without any conflicting responsibilities during scheduled shifts.  

• Tech-savvy approach to everyday tasks and communication is imperative.  

• Must be comfortable and experienced using Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word, etc.) and able to learn and navigate new computer software.

Pay: $35 - 45/hour Depending on Experience

Hours: Monday to Friday 9am-6pm EST 

Location: Fully remote
