Dr. Berg Nutritionals is hiring a skilled HR Generalist 

 

Dr. Berg Nutritionals is an e-commerce company committed to helping people become the healthiest versions of themselves. Our HR department is seeking a qualified HR professional to assist with administration, help with HR projects and programs, and increase the overall efficiency of your department. Dr. Berg Nutritional goals: 

Our goal is to help people get healthy by providing premium-quality products and educational content on alternative medicine and preventative health. 

 

 

The goals of our HR department: 

  • Hire only the best people for our team, maintaining high standards for who we bring on board 

  • Ensure our team stays educated on our policies and procedures 

  • Set a good example for good communication within our organization 

  • Maintain an upbeat company culture centered around helpfulness, fun, and understanding 

  • Ensure we strictly follow all state and federal laws 

  • Follow production tracking protocols and keep standard metrics to ensure we're aligned with OKRs—without micromanaging team members 

  • Maintain team efficiency and reduce points of frustration 

  • Ensure our staff are properly onboarded and oriented so they’re given the best chance to thrive at our company 

 

 

Job duties: 

  • Assisting in the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding process for all jobs, including contractor and employee positions 

  • Handling administration for the HR department, filing documents accurately, using Excel spreadsheets to organize work projects, and updating Word documents 

  • Reviewing applications and determining which candidates would be a good fit based on their skills, education, and communication 

  • Organizing folders within Microsoft Office and maintaining personnel folders within our HRIS (BambooHR) 

  • Corresponding with applicants via phone and email and scheduling interviews and meetings 

  • Conducting reference checks on all hires before being considered 

  • Assisting with benefit plans (health insurance, 401k, etc.) 

  • Following SOPs and workflows accurately 

  • Organizing and helping with training manuals 

  • Responding to human resources-related inquiries 

  • Monitoring employee morale and company culture 

 

 

Skills and requirements: 

  • 3+ years of HR experience, including the full recruitment and hiring process 

  • Great communication skills, maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor 

  • Exceptional administration and organization skills 

  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to spot mistakes and present solutions 

  • Proven experience with Office 365 and HRIS systems 

  • Must be able to effectively vet qualified and unqualified candidates 

  • Great writing skills; professional and friendly written communication using excellent grammar and spelling 

  • Ability to follow directions and protocol with precision and take initiative in daily tasks 

  • Excellent interpersonal skills 

  • Must be familiar with EEOC and FLSA laws 

  • Familiarity with forms such as W-4, W-9, and I-9 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

This is a fully remote part-time position that may lead into full-time. 

The schedule needed is 10:30am-3:30pm EST Monday through Friday. 

 

$25-$30/hr DOE
